Six lessons September taught me the funny way: build for no network, never save twice, deployed is not done, sweat the tiny details, respect free tools, and be patient with your laptop. Plus what's coming in October.

September was busy. Lots of building, lots of shipping, and a few moments where I just stared at the screen asking "why?". Here's what I learnt, the funny way. Baadhi nimeyaandika kwa Kiswahili, kwa sababu ndivyo yalivyonigusa.

## Six lessons from Techtember

1. **No network? No problem (Bila mtandao, kazi inaendelea).** Users don't live next to the Wi-Fi router. Save on the device first, sync when the signal comes back, and test with airplane mode on.
2. **Click twice, save once (Bonyeza mara moja tu).** A weak network plus an impatient thumb gives you three copies of the same record. Give every record its ID early and make retries safe to repeat.
3. **Deployed is not done (Usiamini, hakikisha).** "It works on my machine" is not a release note. Open the live app, check the version, click through the main flows.
4. **Users notice tiny things (Vitu vidogo vina maana).** A report that says "#48213" instead of a real name is how trust quietly leaves the chat.
5. **Free tools have rules too (Bure si bure kila mara).** Monday the map loads, Tuesday it's blocked. Read the usage policy and keep a plan B ready.
6. **My laptop and I need to talk (Subira huvuta heri).** Every build felt like waiting for ugali on a tiny fire. Batch your work, let CI do the heavy lifting and save up for better tools.
